IMPROVING ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH : THE NEED FOR TOILETS
On the 2016 World Toilet Day in Ghana,the Waste Segregation & Composting Movement joined forces with a Priest (Rev. Fr. Andrew Campbell ) and a consultant Ophthalmologist (Lion Dr. David Adiepena) to visit two(2)public toilets in Ashaiman – a suburb in Greater Accra . The clean and privately owned toilet has set the minimum standard for hygiene.The other belongs to the government.
On the this years 2017 World Toilet Day and collaborating with the Tema Lions Club,we calling on opinion leaders to visit the government’s public toilets in Ashaiman for the 19th November global reminder to 25th December 2017 with Community Led National Sanitation Days which adopts 20 days (Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat-Sun) of structural changes to improve public health in our communities through proper waste segregation.
