As part of the ongoing efforts to make sanitation for all a global development priority, the Permanent Mission of Singapore to the UN, together with UN-Water, UNICEF, UN Foundation and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) organised a lunch-time panel event at the Headquarters of the United Nations, in relation to the World Toilet Day.

“Regardless where we are from, we all have the right to safe and dignified toilets,”said Amina Mohammed, United Nations Deputy Secretary-General during the panel.

The UN deputy chief also urged all to ask questions such as “Who is responsible for disposal?”, “What are people’s working conditions?” And “Where does menstrual hygiene waste go?
