Ever wonder where your poo goes on moving vehicles- such as a train? You might be surprised to learn train toilets in Britain empty their toilet contents directly onto train tracks. After much backlash from the dumping of raw sewage on railways, the Department of Transport has pledged that by 2019, these old stock trains will be replaced with new, modern holding tank trains. Instead of dumping waste directly onto train tracks, these trains with retention tanks will be operated and sewage emptied in designated rail depots.
