Global Water Stewardship Flush-a-Thon
Global Water Stewardship is a group of water industry professionals working to fight the global issue of sanitation.
Global Water Stewardship (GWS) members are experts in the planning, engineering, operations and maintenance of sustainable, sanitation systems. Utilizing university student design competitions and local engineers in the host country, we educate individuals on how to design, implement, operate and maintain centralized wastewater collection and treatment systems. We work to bring these systems to communities in need.
In honor of World Toilet Day on November 19th, we are hosting a Flush-A-Thon to raise awareness of the 1 in 3 people that lack access to basic sanitation. This money will go towards design engineering, a critical step towards making GWS projects a reality, and successfully bringing wastewater collection and treatment to communities in Costa Rica.
The average person flushes the toilet 7-8 times a day. Think about the change we can make if each person pledges $1 per flush for the week of November 13-19th!
Be proud to announce your flushes, and help us raise awareness of this essential service that is so easily taken for granted.
Make a pledge here.
