On the occasion of world toilet day we have organized some awareness activities in Bhurgampdu Mandal in both schools and communities. The main objective of conducting these international days to create awareness on the particular days among the children and communities, nowadays India has facing major challenges on sanitation issues so that our Indian government has lunched “Swachha Bharat Mission” to eradicate un-cleanliness and open defecation from India. Accordingly WASHi has been conducting many awareness activities among the people and motivate people towards individual toilet construction; accordingly we have constructed 160 IHHLs so far in Bhurgampadu Mandal.
Activities conducted on the occasion of world toilet day:-
A. Inaugurated IHHLs in Reddypalem village
B. Conducted rally with children to create awareness among the children and community
C. Community level meeting with local politicians and Govt. officials.
D. Mandal level competitions for School children to create awareness on sanitation and hygiene.
