Kipsirichet Primary School, in Kericho County, Kenya has worked with the local community, Friends of Londiani and the Government to improve facilities in their school. This project was also made possible with funding secured through Friends of Kipkelion, a UK based charity.

This project included the building of separate toilet blocks for Boys and Girls with the addition of washrooms for the girls. Through rain water harvesting tanks on these blocks hand washing facilities have been added for the 173 boys and 137 girls as well as 35 pre-school students. In addition we have installed two smokeless fuel efficient stoves in the school kitchen which has improved the place of work for the cooks as well as reducing the fuel costs for the school.

Today as we celebrate World Toilet Day we thank all concerned for their support in making this happen and to improve the environment in this school. Please support www.friendsofkipkleion and www.friendsoflondiani.com so that more schools in Kenya can benefit from these programmes. #WECANTWAIT
